New campaign for Subaru of America, shot by Jeff Ludes, lit with the ingenious Gybow LED system and retouched by the artists at Recom Farmhouse NYC
Top secret at the time, the Crosstrek could not be taken on any busy urban streets, so Jeff captured background plates and HDRI spheres on location in Colorado and brought them back to Thunder Studios in LA.
With the spheres uploaded into the Gybow, the rotating LED rig light painted the reflections of the 360º location environments directly onto the car. In post we merged the backplates with the studio shots, colour graded and finished them, and couldn't be happier with the results.
